Great for child actors and aspiring radio talents! Ages 8 and up. The Microphone Zone Recording Studios in downtown Beverly is offering Kids an opportunity to learn the beginnings of announcing on professional microphones with studio engineers and producers! Chris Palermo & Dean Karatza. Chris is a radio production veteran and Boston voiceover artist. Dean is a longtime professional musician and owner of The Microphone Zone. This workshop will introduce students to the world of voiceovers...for children! Does you child like animation? Movies? Is he or she an actor? A good storyteller? Get that voice recorded during this workshop. We'...ll cover the "Boston Accent" and other types of regionalism and basic announcing techniques. A great confidence builder, this class is especially good for child actors as we'll introduce them to the world of "ADR" which is very common AFTER scenes are shot and you are required to replace the dialogue in a soundbooth. It takes some practice! All students leave the class with a fully-produced :15 radio spot that can be used as a voice sample to submit for future voiceover work and towards a demo.
